Vintage Photo Plate for Daily ART

Hello everyone!

Today I'm on Daily ART with a mixed media dt project!

Vintage Photo Plate

I created it, by using Daily ART Plaques from our luscious DT package!

I started by applying Sand Paste on the edges of the bigger plaque. When the Sand Paste was dry, I applied some Fine Texture Paste through Stencil Vintage J.

I then glued on top of that, a smaller plaque and on its surface, I applied Fine Texture Paste through Mask Leaves #1.

When everything was dry, I applied on the whole surface, a base coat with Acrylic Paint Black. 
Dried everything with a heat gun.

After that, I created several washes with different dark colors - black, grey, deep brown - and applied them, one after the other, to create a rich background for the "rust" to sit on.

I created the color of rust, by mixing Vintage Paint Deep Red and Mixed Media Vintage Spray Sepia.

I painted the smaller plaque with a mixture of Acrylic Paint Turqoise and Mint, to create a patina look.

I accented the whole surface with Patina Bronze and Patina Chameleon Gold.

I glued my elements with Gel Medium Matt.
